| WHAT M.E.D.S. IS ALL ABOUT | |
| Ministry Education and Development System (M.E.D.S.) is crafted to develop ministers of the gospel and core christian leaders from the inside out. The tabernacle of Moses was built from the inside out—from the Ark of the Covenant to the outer court furniture. A preacher and a core christian leader must be built no differently. In order to last in this wicked day, a preacher must be healthy in all areas of his/her life to finish the will of God. This is my quest for M.E.D.S.: A healthy minister will build a healthy ministry. | |
| M.E.D.S. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND | |
| In June 1991, the Spirit of the Lord said to Pastor John Posey that God would raise up ministers and send them to the uttermost parts of the world. This was the beginning of the concept of Ministry Education and Development System, which was birthed in 2004. There is a necessity to do things decently and in order, so although God birthed the vision within John & Sandra Posey, in 2005 they consulted with Faith Bible College, a fully established and accredited school with a Bible-based curriculum. This is what the Poseys considered to be a major decision in life and ministry, so the basic concept was also discussed with their Pastor and friend, Elder Tim Mann. Elder Cloyde Yoder (who went home to be with the Lord) and his wife Arlene had just recently joined the local work of Zoe City Church and the M.E.D.S. concept was discussed with them. Judith Harrington, a long time ministry friend who planted multiple churches and bible schools, was consulted for her expertise as well. They all agreed with the basic vision. In 2006, Pastor John was reunited with a ministry colleague, Pastor Henry Smith. Little did he know that this reunion would bring an individual who possessed the experience to help launch a Bible School. Pastor Smith assisted with the establishment of the curriculum and recruiting the charter class. As a result of their concerted efforts, the school opened in August of 2007 with 31 students. Pastor Smith served as the Dean of M.E.D.S. from 2007 - 2008, when Pastor John assumed the responsibility as the Dean. After much consideration and review of the vision of the school and the established curriculum, M.E.D.S. became accredited with Faith Bible College in January of 2009. Today, the basic concept from 2004 has been realized in the very first graduating class of 2009. | |
| JOHN POSEY "The Video Preacher": Founder and Chancellor |
The "Video Preacher" brings you 1st century ministry effectiveness with 21st century technology. His mission is to develop resources, leaders and churches for 3G impact! 2 Timothy 2:1-2, You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. This powerful verse speaks to me of my greatest gift. "My ability to impact one, who will impact many." I spent the first half of my life learning what to do, I am going to spend the last half of my life doing what I've learned! John says, “To reach this 21st century generation, we need young 21st century leadership.” For this reason John has founded M.E.D.S. School of Ministry. Ministry Education and Development System (M.E.D.S.) is crafted to develop ministers of the gospel from the inside out. The tabernacle of Moses was built from the inside out—from the Ark of the Covenant to the outer court furniture. A preacher must be built no differently. In order to last in this wicked day, a preacher must be healthy in all areas of his/her life to finish the will of God. This is my quest for M.E.D.S.: A healthy minister will build a healthy ministry.” In addition to M.E.D.S., John reaches into small and medium-sized churches for the purpose of creating a leadership culture. If the leaders are growing and becoming what God has purposed them to be, the church will follow. More about John Posey |
